my clients with weight reduction goals, I use a powerful combination of
hypnosis and the Emotional Freedom Technique. Clients should
combine this with a healthy eating plan (for example, Weight Watchers)
for optimal results. 850-499-2265Very often when we make a decision to eat only healthy foods or reduce our food intake, that decision is made by the conscious mind only, while the subconscious mind is programmed with a conflicting agenda. The subconscious mind, for example, may believe that based on past associations eating fulfills a basic need for happiness and security, or that eating chocolate will banish depression. The conscious mind may even rationalize these choices, even though it usually realizes they are not optimal. But the result is unhappiness with added weight and a feeling of powerlessness in one's ability to change. Both aspects of the mind must be in alignment, because if they are not the subconscious mind will always win. The subconscious is programmed to determine our behaviors automatically. It has much more influence on our behavior than our conscous mind, which controls our willpower. When people say they have no willpower, what they really mean is that their subconscous mind does not agree with what the conscious mind is trying to do. By going through the back door, so to speak, with hypnosis, the conscious mind quiets down. The critical faculty between the conscious and subconscious mind relaxes, allowing suggestions for positive change to be implanted in the subconscious, where all personal growth and change must first take place. Once your subconscious mind is on board with the new programming, change requires much less effort, often becoming easy and automatic. For
hypnosis to be beneficial in your efforts to reduce weight, it is
critical
to develop the proper frame of mind for success. To this end, we
begin with 4 sessions done within the first two weeks. Everyone is different and has varying goals and amounts of weight they would like to reduce. I suggest follow up sessions as you feel you need them. After the initial concentrated effort, once a week is usually enough to keep you on track until you are firmly integrated with your new pattern of eating, as the subconscious mind re-forms its habits around food. You may also want to schedule a maintenance session once a month for a while after reaching your goal. All sessions are done by appointment only. The first session includes an interview and evaluation of your needs. We will talk about your expectations, how hypnosis works and how to get the most out of your sessions. Payment of $475 for the first four sessions is made at the time of committing to the program. Plan to spend an hour and a half in the office on the first visit. Follow-up sessions are $125.
